We were in a car crash that changed everything.

My girlfriend and I were driving around talking about our plans for the future and all of a sudden....BOOM!

The vehicle that hit us was travelling fast enough to spin my 1989 Oldsmobile all the way around and completely total out both cars.

I am currently sitting at the ER waiting to be seen for multiple contusions and a couple head wounds. My girlfriend was cleared on the scene by EMTs after a very scary episode where she blacked out and seized for several minutes.

We had just been discussing my plans for the orientation classes I would be attending today through Friday for the new job I was just hired for. I do DSP work and have been selected to do in-home care for an autistic boy while his parents work, but they live out in the country and nowhere near a bus line. Having a reliable vehicle was something that had been discussed before the offer of employment. I had to go in today and humbly ask for my withdrawal from orientation class due to the fact that I no longer have the aforementioned vehicle and didn't want to accept work that I could not show up for.

I am devastated right now. This was to be a huge boon to my very bleak financial situation and a stepping stone in my own recovery and future.

Gone in the blink of an eye. Literally.

I have already made an appointment with CarHop and have some other things in the works to try to figure this all out but I am asking for some help.

Normally something like this would have me throwing up my hands saying, "Fuck it!" and go get high. I refuse to let my disease trick me off this time. Instead I'm asking for help the way everyone has always told me to.

I get paid on Friday and it won't be much but it'll be something. Something towards a down payment on something affordable and reliable that could get me where I need to go. And any help with that down payment would be astronomical. Please please please help.

Not asking for everyone to just buy me a car. Just some help towards down payment. Again, please! ❤️❤️❤️
