Lost Job Unexpectedly, Bills Piling Up

I guess to start things off, I'll give a bit of back story.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California but had to move out of the state in late 2023 due to being unable to afford.. practically everything. I was being kicked out of the place I was renting due to the owner wanting to sell the house, and my job was relocating farther away without compensating the employees for the extra travel costs and time it was going to take to get there everyday. My friends, my family.. all left behind. It's been incredibly difficult being in a completely unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people, but I've been making ends meet by working as the Human Resources Generalist for a local healthcare company. I am one of the lowest paid employees and get often mistaken as a receptionist by most of the staff due to working at the front counter as a result of the company's poor staffing. Working "two" positions has been difficult, and being HR, I was able to discover how the company functions, how they treat their employees, and where their money goes to. Employees would get fired or quit on a weekly basis, miss out on pay that was EARNED, gaslit for wanting better communication/working conditions, and literally yelled at by the CEO for any reason he deemed upsetting. He's even called the cops TWICE on former employees because he was upset that they talked back to him.

I guess the point of me saying all of this is.. I needed out of this place, and I needed it fast. I've been interviewing since early October in hopes of leaving this place, not receiving any luck for a while. After five interviews with the local university hospital, I was finally offered a job working in their Pediatrics Pulmonary Medical Research department (basically, researching cures, medicine, and resources for children's medical health)! I was told two weeks ago that my start date would be January 6, so I just needed to be patient and push through working at the healthcare company until then. Due to the hospital needing to do an employment verification, the CEO at the healthcare company found out about my new job, and became incredibly furious. I was given only a few minutes to explain that I was wanting better pay and gave a brief rundown of my struggles. In response, I was told I was ungrateful, I was unappreciative of the CEO paying for my vacations (which he NEVER DID and I have PROOF of), and that I was being let go immediately as a result. I was gaslit HARD and lied to about my pay, which is messed up in SO many ways. I'm incredibly fortunate that I have a new job lined up in January, but I simply cannot afford to pay my bills until then. As a result of not getting paid for the week I took off (which I legally SHOULD'VE gotten paid for) and paying for other people's transportation and Airbnb expenses during that time, my savings account is unable to support the amount that is needed for my bills until I get my first paycheck from my new job (January 20).

I made this GoFundMe to help pay for majority of my bigger bills such as rent, gas, water, utilities, car payment, car insurance, car registration (due in February), electricity, and my phone service. I don't expect to receive $1500 AT ALL. That's just how much the sum total of all my bills during this period. I appreciate EVERY single penny that is donated for this, and I cannot thank you all enough for the support that this will bring me during this time. If you would like to know more about my story, feel free to dm me on Discord and I will be more than happy to share. Thank you all once again and I wish you all a happy holidays!

TLDR - I was let go today out of nowhere and need help paying bills until I start my new job next month.
