My name is Don Percy.  In March 2018, my job was eliminated from Bryan Medical Center.  I have also been unable to afford to get my own health insurance.  Due to serious health issues making it difficult for me to obtain decent paying employment, I have been driving for Lyft.  This past summer was very slow and we became seriously behind in the mortgage and other monthly utility bills.  I was hospitalized for a few days in September for an illness, and my wife just recently had a heart attack and had to have emergency surgery last week.   The car I use for driving Lyft has a little over 195,000 miles, and broke down on me last Friday night.  I had to have it towed.  So far we know the timing chain went out, also took out the starter, and not certain, as of yet, what other damage may have been caused when the timing chain broke.  I am not able to drive for Lyft until either the car is repaired ,or possibly even replaced.  This only leaves me able to work my part time job, which is not even 10 hours a week.  We only have one car that is driveable, which is not new enough to use for Lyft.  It also needs to have a 170.00 labor repair made to it so the heat will work and can be used to drive my wife to her cardiac rehab and doctor appointments for followup of her heart attack.  I do have the parts to provide already for this repair.  Thank you in advance for any contributions that you may be able to afford to help us and we appreciate any prayers and positive vibes sent our way.  God bless you all.
