On March 28th, my apartment complex called 911, reporting a false statement about me having a firearm when I never did. Police arrived and arrested me, accusing me of resisting arrest when I never did. I spent more than 36 hours in jail (weekend) because of the false report. The reason for the 911 call was because one of the maintenance guys confused my cell phone with a gun and went and told the office manager, who then made the 911 call without a proper investigation. I was unemployed at the time due to an injury I suffered at work, which got aggravated in jail. The weekend of the arrest, I was supposed to start a new job that I was capable of doing with the doctor's restriction, but I lost that opportunity for being in jail, making things worse for me. I've never been in jail in my life.
I am now facing eviction without a place to go, having to spend my savings on bail and attorney fees. The job loss resulting from the arrest has turned my life upside down, and I have been struggling to recover ever since. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. The funds will be used in attorney's fees to clear my name and to move forward. Thank you in advance. I really appreciate it.
