Home and Business lost by Michael

A member of our design community, shop owner and designer Wendy Patrick Howell became one of the many victims of Hurricane Michael when it devastated her community in Mexico Beach.

While many of us continue to go about our lives and head off to work every day- Wendy has not only lost her home but also her livelihood. Her shop is flooded and merchandise destroyed and her home as well as her mother’s is a total loss. It will be a long time before things return to any semblance of normal.

I ( Cheryl Kees Clendenon) have started this go fund me account for her to help bridge the gap until she can get back on her feet again. She will use the money to live on and to help rebuild her home.
This is very personal to me as we have experienced the loss and heartache living through a hurricane less devastating. Mexico Beach is a short 90 miles from where I live and work and we could have easily been in her position once again.

Let’s help Wendy in some small but meaningful way get back to work doing what she loves in a community that will sorely need her help and creativity in the months to come.
