Terrance Jenkins discovered in January 2019 that his foot was not getting the circulation it needed. After vascular surgery to replace a large vein in his leg, Terrance discovered, the operation was not as effective as it needed to be. His toes began to lose feeling.
Eventually, his toes lost all feeling. Ultimately, he learned he might lose his toes. Possibly, he might lose part of his foot. Due to Type 1 Diabetes he lost five toes in 2017 on his right foot.
After several days in the hospital, he learned the terrible truth, not only would he lose toes, but possibly part of his foot.
He went into surgery.
When he woke up from surgery, it was worse than he thought. He lost his entire lower left leg - just below the knee.
His life would be changed forever. After decades of working hard, caring for himself and fathering beautiful children, he will now have to walk using a prosthetic leg.
Terrance now lives in an upstairs apartment. He needs to live downstairs. But he is on disability. Though he has enough to provide for rent and bills, he doesn't have the immediate financial means to pay a two-month deposit and move-in costs.
He has 20 days in rehab in Virginia Beach. He is asking for help from anyone who can.
His attitude is amazing, he is cheerful and happy, and says he is blessed by the Creator to learn new things. He says he is grateful and appreciative.
$3000 will help pay his rent, pay the deposit and help him live in a place more friendly to his disability.
Terrance understands if people do not have money, so if they could send good thoughts and prayers and most importantly if they could please share the message that he needs help.
For anyone that helps, Terrance will say a prayer that whatever is donated, will come back to you ten times over.
Thank you and blessings to everyone that can share the message, or donate.
