Hi, my name’s Lori. I moved out here with my daughter, Jules and her boyfriend, Gino to live out my life-long dream of living in Maui. We have been here three years, and it was the best three years of my life. I never thought it would come to such a devastating, painful end. On 8/8/2023 a devastating and unexpected fire destroyed all of Lahaina. We lived on Front Street, and we have lost everything. When we moved here, I consolidated my belongings and came here with just memorabilia, and rebuilt my life here. Everything that we have built and worked hard for is gone, and we now have to rebuild all over again. We barely made it out in time with the clothes on our backs, important documents and our precious cat. We lost our home, irreplaceable memorabilia, my daughter’s first car, and our jobs. Not only did we lose things personal to just us, we and many others lost a beautiful historic town, that has overtime become been our home. We were very lucky and blessed to make it out just in time, and to still be alive with our Ohana. Any amount of support is welcome and appreciated to help us rebuild what we have lost in this tragedy. Thank you.

12/02/23 Update: We had no choice but to relocate back to California, and are starting all over again. We are doing our best to make our new house a home with the little we have, and slowly trying to rebuild our small business. Thank you for all the support we have received so far; but unfortunately we didn’t even meet a quarter of our goal. Hopefully updating this will boost our story.
