Survivor of Hurricane Ian
Donation protected
I lost everything to Hurricane Ian on 9/28/22 in my hometown of Fort Myers Beach, Florida including my liveaboard vessel of twelve years, truck, personal belongings and tools. I was struck in the mouth and lost some teeth and am dealing with the symptoms of flesh-eating bacteria. Many thanks to the US Coast Guard who airlifted me out the following day. It has been a struggle and I’ve been displaced as I try to put my life back together as best I can. So far nothing has transpired with FEMA despite my continued efforts. It’s been discouraging to lose everything I’ve worked for in 62 years and it pains me to have to ask for help at this point. Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated. I’ve exhausted all avenues and am just trying to get through an extremely difficult time.
Sincerely
