Lost everything in Flood Please help.

Hi my name is Kristy and my son Brent is 26 years old with autism and severe ultrative colitis. He lives on his own in an apartment that hes had for about 6 months. This is the first time hes ever lived on his own. It is just him and his little dog Rodney. On April 12th Fort Lauderdale Florida saw 20 inches of rain in his area which flooded his apartment and ruined everything he owns. He lives off social security disability due to his illnesses. He has no savings and lives check to check. He is going to need money for first, last & security for a new place to live. Everything He owns is completely ruined he will need all new items clothes furniture shoes ....everything. If you can find it in your heart to please donate something to try to get him Another place to live and more items to fill his home. We would truly appreciate it. We do not know if the landlord is going to be able to help with anything. God Bless you all.

UPDATE: The landlord called said he has to remove everything that he wants out of the apartment by Monday. We will be going over there today Saturday to get what we can. They are putting insurance through but it could be 6 months or more before the building is livable again. He will definitely need to find a new place.

UPDATE: Brents is in a bad space mentally. He talked to me yesterday and said he has grown a lot living on his own. Even though he needed help here and there from his family he felt independence & was able to figure out who he is. Now that he is back living with his mom & sleeping on the couch he feels like a failure. My heart breaks .......
