My sister-in-law, Raeann Rondeau, and mother-in-law Evelyn Rondeau, recently lost their home, clothes, all their earthly possessions including two vehicles in the Camp Fire. Evelyn began her escape just minutes before the mandatory evacuation, and although she was delayed in traffic, she made it safely to Vacaville to stay with a friend. Raeann, who was home ill, received the first call alerting her of the zones being evacuated started gathering, flashlights, minimal clothing, dog food, and her two precious dogs, Gracie and Riley. Within minutes Raeann received a second call listing the zone she lived in, ordering a mandatory evacuation. Raeann began her escape, through darkness, flames and traffic, eventually making it to her office in Chico.
