Hi, my name is Rebekka.
I’m a proud single mother of two beautiful girls, aged 10 and 12.
On Christmas Eve, while preparing myself to say what I thought would be a final goodbye to my terminally ill mum, tragedy struck. At 3 o’clock in the morning, I was woken by my amazing neighbour calling me on the phone, screaming: “Becky, your house is on fire!”
In that moment, my whole world changed. Within minutes, I lost everything—all our belongings, all our clothes, all our furniture, every single sentimental thing I owned, and even the precious items that belonged to my mum. Everything was gone in the fire. I lost so much, including beloved animals, though by God’s mercy some did survive.
Only months later, my mum sadly passed away—just two days before my birthday. Then, on my birthday itself, my loyal 13-year-old German Shepherd, Alpha, who had survived the fire, passed away too. It felt like one heartbreak after another.
Since then, I’ve been doing everything I can to rebuild. My daughters were staying safely with family at the time due to my escape from domestic violence, but my deepest wish now is to bring them home. At the moment, I am still waiting for housing, living in a tent on a property with no running water or electricity.
I’m fighting every day to keep moving forward—to get my license, find stability, and create a safe home for my girls. But the truth is, I can’t do it alone.
That’s why I’m reaching out. Any donation—big or small—would help us more than words can say. Your support will go directly towards setting up a safe, stable home for my daughters—bedrooms of their own, the essentials they need, and a future they can look forward to.
I lost absolutely everything, and it’s devastating to know my girls will be coming back to no bedroom of their own, no familiar comforts. But I refuse to give up. I really want to give my girls the home and comfort they deserve, and with your help, I can invest in the things that will give them a brighter, more secure future to come back to.
