Hurricane Irma Victim. Took My Car

Many of you may recognize me. I used to anchor the news. I had to stop due to a disability. I lost my uninsured car to Hurricane Irma. I'm am trying to raise $3000 to get something that will get me to my part time job that starts in less than 30 days. Public transportation won't get me there

A car dealer says anything I buy for $1,500 will be worthless. He also says if if can get $2,500 -$3,000 he will get me something dependable. Tax, title and license not included. If you can help I would appreciate it. Thank you.
