What we do:
At Lost Boys Hope , we rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs from some of the most underserved and remote northern communities in Canada.
These communities face an overwhelming number of stray and free-roaming dogs, often with little to no access to veterinary care, spay/neuter programs, or basic resources. Left to fend for themselves, these dogs face harsh weather, starvation, injury, and in too many cases — culling.
We believe they a chance. That’s why we step in.
We partner with frontline rescues, local advocates, and community members to bring them to safety. Whether it’s a sick pup, an injured dog, a pregnant female, or stray dog desperately needing hope — we say yes when others can’t.
Once in our care, dogs receive:
Urgent medical attention:
- Spay/neuter surgeries
- Vaccinations and microchips
- Foster placements with loving volunteers
- And ultimately, forever homes
We’re foster-based, volunteer-run, and compassion-led. We prioritize the most vulnerable, the forgotten, and the ones no one else will take. Because every dog deserves a chance.
What we have done:
At Lost Boys Hope , our mission goes far beyond rescue — we’re building a movement of compassion, education, and lasting change.
And we do it all as a 100% foster-based rescue — no shelter, just homes full of love. Here’s just a glimpse of what we’ve accomplished:
- Spay/Neuter & Wellness Clinics: We bring vital vet care directly to underserved northern communities, offering spay/neuter, vaccines, and health checks — helping control overpopulation and improve quality of life.
- Over 7,000 Animals Rescued Since 2016: From tiny puppies to adult dogs, we intake over 7,000 animals in under 10 years — prioritizing the most vulnerable: the sick, the injured, the forgotten.
- Monthly Transports from Remote Regions: We regular travel ground or organize air transports to bring dogs from isolated northern areas into safe, loving foster homes — sometimes traveling hundreds of kilometers to do so.
- 100% Foster-Based Care: Every dog we save lives in a home — not a shelter. Our fosters provide love, safety, and structure, helping dogs prepare for their forever families.
- Community Outreach & School Education: We partner with communities to create lasting impact — teaching kids about responsible ownership, overpopulation issues, what's being done, and how.
- Advocacy for Change: We use our platform to raise awareness about the challenges in remote communities, push for better access to veterinary care, and speak up for dogs who can’t speak for themselves.
Call to action:
Every dog we rescue, every transport we organize, every life we save — it’s only possible because of you . But the need is growing.
Our vet bills are rising. Transports are constant. More and more dogs are coming to us sick, injured, and out of time. We say yes as often as we can — but we can’t keep doing it alone.
- We are 100% foster-based.
- We rely entirely on donations.
- We receive no government funding.
