Loss of Skylar Galyean

Hi, my name is Lori Webb, great-aunt to 11-year-old Skylar Galyean. I created this fundraiser to help support her mother Vanessa Galyean with final arrangement costs.

Skylar passed away at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland on February 23, 2024. The doctors determined that Skylar had suffered cardiac arrest, but they were not able to determine why this happened in spite of administering numerous and exhaustive tests over several days. Autopsy results also provided no answers.

We are all heartbroken over Skylar’s sudden and tragic passing. Skylar was nonverbal autistic and had neurofibromatosis but doctors said these previous diagnoses were unrelated to her passing.

Skylar was very intuitive and had a special love for her family; she was a pure and precious little girl who was deeply cherished by everyone.
