Loss of Nicole and Jim's twin sons
Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that we reach out to show our support for the most caring and loving parents Jim and Nicole Huber.
Nicole and Jim have been through what no parent should ever have to go through. In September 2022 Nicole and Jim endured the heartache of a still birth with their second son Owen, at 23 weeks. In their true nature, they were able to grow through this agonising experience and continue to show strength.
Nicole and Jim fell pregnant again late last year.
On May 21st Nicole went into early labour at 23 weeks with her twin sons. Nicole, unknowing, was already fully dilated and had to undergo an emergency c-section as the boys showed signs of distress when their heart rates dropped.
Sadly despite the efforts of the doctors and nurses their first born, Louie, passed away soon after birth. Their second born, Marvin, was moved to the NICU and cared for by the incredible staff at the Mater Mothers Brisbane. On the 23rd, Nicole was woken with the news that little Marvin had a difficult night and their worst fears came to realisation that he wasn't going to make it. Jim and Nicole had some precious time with him, hugging and holding their little boy as he took his final breaths.
This loss is felt so deeply by them. These babies were so loved and so wanted and it is heartbreaking for them to go through this yet again.
They have always been everyone’s biggest cheerleaders and have always taken the time to help anyone in their time of need. Even through this most unimaginable grief, they continue to be the most inspirational and giving people. A true act of selflessness, Nicole was able to find the strength to donate her precious life giving breast milk to the milk bank giving forward and finding purpose.
It is evident that Nicole and Jim are amazing parents, as it shines through their 3 year old son Wesley, and all their boys are incredibly lucky to call them mum and dad.
Whilst we can not take away the grief, we are asking you to make a donation to show that they are not alone with coping through this. Donations will assist in hospital, memorial costs and ease the pressures of day to day life, that right now is too hard to even comprehend.
