Loss of Eric Crawford

Our hearts are broken, and we are still in shock that such an amazing human was taken from us far too soon. At 47 years young my brother-in-law passed away unexpectedly, and it all happened so quick. To say his wife Cindy, his children and family are devasted is an understatement. He was such a special individual he could make anyone laugh and you felt instantly as if you had been friends for years. Though I have to say he really shined as a father and will be dearly missed by his children.

Eric had been having issues with his eyes for some time and had a cornea transplant in 2021 but continued to have issues and was working with his doctors at duke for a resolution. Due to a medication, he was taking to assist with resolving these issues he ended up going into kidney failure and was admitted to the hospital Friday Evening with the goal to flush this medication out of his system. To our detriment he did not improve and passed away early Sunday morning.

Many have asked what they can do or if they can send flowers and being that Eric will be cremated, they would prefer a donation to help his family during this difficult time.
