Losing our Adapted family home for wife with MS

Donation protected
We are reaching out for help as we are at risk of losing our adapted home that we have lived in for nearly 20yrs. We desperately need help to raise funds that will enable us to secure our home for the rest of our time.

Our Story: We have always tried to provide a safe and stable home for our family, we have never had a lot in life but have always tried our best to support each other and our 2 boys. We modified, altered and adapted the house when we moved in in 2005 for my wife who has Multiple Sclerosis, I became her full time carer as her health declined. We moved into the house knowing we would be able to make it wheelchair friendly and as accessible as possible for her.

6 months ago Unbeknown to us due to naivety and a badly sold mortgage plan, we received notification that a mortgage balloon was due for March 2025… We thought the mortgage would be cleared and paid for in full by March 2025 and we would be able to live in the house until our final days. However this has not been the case and we are now facing the possibility of having to leave our home of 20 years.

Being past the point of desperation, we are truly pleading for help to deal with our problem. Due to recent financial strains, Monthly interest rate rises, the energy/fuel price rises and the current cost of living crisis, we have cut every cost we can, to the point our son has started helping with our food shopping and thinks he maybe able to help with a small amount towards the payment, but with my RAF pension and the disability benefits my wife receives, we simply won’t be able to save anywhere near the amount we need to clear the payment.

We are in need of £26,000 in total by March 2025. we have absolutely no way of raising that amount of money in the next 12 months and as embarrassing as it is, this GoFundMe is probably our last resort for help.

We really really don’t want to lose our home and only have 12 months to sort the issue. The stress factor of having to move somewhere my wife would not be familiar with or comfortable in, worries me greatly. As her health has declined over the years, She has struggles with mobility and other health issues and the worry and stress of having to leave is having a detrimental effect on both her physical and mental health, she is as comfortable as she can be in the place she knows best. Despite our struggles over the years financially and physically we have built a home that we simply don’t want to lose and it would have a devastating impact on our family, having to leave our home.

Your generous donations will directly contribute to ensuring that our family has a place to call home.
By alleviating our burden, you will be providing us with the opportunity to regain financial stability and peace of mind.

How Your Support Will Make a Difference:
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in helping us secure our home.
Your support will not only assist us in avoiding the loss of our home but also provide us with the chance to rebuild and move forward with hope and optimism.

Conclusion:
We are deeply grateful for any assistance you can provide during this challenging time.
Your kindness and generosity will have a profound impact on our lives, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering our cause.
