Losing everything to the Oak Fire

My name is Alyssa and i’m raising funds for my family. Mariposa, California has been our home my entire life and every year there is a threat of wildfires. This is the first year natural disaster has struck and my family has lost everything. Everything sentimental, baby, wedding, and graduation pictures gone. All of the art my mom saved in a box from all 4 of her kids is a pile of ashes. Everything my parents worked so hard for in all their 40 years was ravaged and gone in less than a week since the disaster started. We have never experienced anything like this and it is a new feeling of grief and loss of our entire lives in a home forgotten and burned like it never existed. Both my parents are disabled and don’t have the money to start over and make new lives so they need help. I’ve seen the community come together countless times and help each other and I hope this reaches people willing to help.
