Lose My Locks For Rach
My best friend, Rachael, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer when her daughter, Tayeesha was just 3 months old. Within 3 weeks she had started chemotherapy, and in the coming months will have surgery and undergo radiation treatments.
I am raising money for Rachael and her husband, Mat, to cover medical costs, household bills and to relieve the financial pressure. This will mean Rachael can use every ounce of energy fighting this horrible disease.
Rachael's initial fear was not being around to watch her daughter grow up. Then she had to come to terms with losing her hair, I tried comforting her by saying, ‘It’ll grow back in no time, healthier than ever’, so to show my support, I aim to raise $4000 by cutting off my hair. Should be easy, right? Except the last time my hair was above my shoulders, I was 7. But, hey, ‘It’ll grow back in no time, healthier than ever’, right?
I’m going to cut 1 cm of hair for every $100 donated. If 80 people donate $50 each we will reach our target, and for anyone who donates $100 I’ll give you a turn of the scissors.
Don't have $50? Even donating $1 will make such a difference, it all adds up. You can also help by sharing this and spreading the word. Your positive words, prayers and donations will give Rachael hope and let her know we care.
Join me in supporting Rachael on Sunday 20th May when I Lose My Locks for Rach. Venue to be confirmed.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Jess xx
