Los Tacotales Cozumel

You probably know of us as "Los Otates Taco y Pozole", but losing the rights to our name by a rich corporate company back in January was just the start of our 2020. And that was in January, even before COVID!  So this crazy year started off for us with losing the rights to our brand name. After an expensive legal battle, we are now known as "Los Tacotales" (but for those of us close to the Otates family, the old name will never be forgotten).  Then of course came the closures and quarantines due to the global pandemic. We had to close for weeks, but we never let go of any of our employees who we consider family. We had just gotten the business up and running again when hurricane season starts. We survived the first two (! ) storms to hit Cozumel this year, but unfortunately the third hurricane, Hurricane Zeta, which came through this week, ripped the roof off of the restaurant. Once again, we find ourselves unable to open our business and work. We are a small family owned business and we take pride that we have not let go of any of our employees, keeping in mind Mexico does not have support for the recently unemployed. But in order for us to get back to work and serve our customers, we must repair the roof. We would greatly appreciate if you consider donating to our cause.
