Lorraine has a Heart and Her Heart Needs Help

On January 19th Lorraine Plaxico underwent heart surgery to repair the mitral valve in her heart.   After struggling for weeks with being out of breath and feeling weak, it was discovered that this valve wasn't functioning properly, her heart was enlarged and there was fluid on her lungs.  She underwent tests in the hospital with surgery as her only option.   The operation was a total success, thank goodness, and after some post-surgical set-backs,  is currently in rehab.  Once she gets out Lorraine will need to take it slow.  It is uncertain when she'll be able to get back to work but what is certain is that she will be stepping back into her life with the kind of medical bills none of us is ever prepared to pay.   

For those of you who know her, I think you'll agree that Lorraine is one of the most good-hearted people we know.  Her curiosity and humor keep her involved with her friends, family and community with her love shining through everything she does and touching everyone she knows.  Let's help her get back to living her life fully with a few less worries.   Your generosity will be appreciated more than you know!
