Lorraine Ciesla’s family

Our sweet friend, Lorraine Ciesla, is in her final days of her battle with cancer. There are no words to describe the shock and heartbreak we all feel for our dear friend at this time. Lorraine is a friend to all, and is always there whenever someone needs her. She was an active PTA member at PS23 for all the years her daughters attended school there.

Her amazing recipes, and PTA skills are only surpassed by her love for her daughters. Her “girls” are her everything. Throughout the toughest times of her illness she would always say, “I have to do it to be here for my girls.” Lorraine did not want anyone to worry about her. She smiled through the surgeries, treatments and financial hardships these last few years of her life. She never asked for help, although all of us would have been too happy to give it to her. As a tribute to our dear Lorraine, we would like to set up this fund for Gianna and Daniella. Lorraine wanted to see her girls grow up, wanted to take trips, see birthdays, sweet 16s, school plays, graduations and weddings. She wanted to give them the world, but her time as a mother is being cut short, and those of us who are left behind want to make sure we help honor her wish. Thank you for any donation you can give.
