In 1981 Lorna and I registered with the UW Willed Body Program . That program would accept our bodies on our death, use the remains for 3 years and then return the cremated remains to us . I called last month to assure Lorna wa still registered and was advised she is.
My 65 year old  wife of 39 years, Lorna, died at home Sunday , surrounded by family. When we called the UW  Willed Body Program they asked a few questions, saying they had to check with their doctors, and would I wait. A few minutes later she returned and said she weighs too much, she is denied acceptance.  She gained most of that weight during the cancer treatments. She'd had MS for 20 years, then lung cancer metastasizing to Brain cancer.
We called around searching for a place to have my wife cremated. We chose Heritage Cremation Provider. The said, on the telephone, cost would run about $900.00. Yesterday when I completed the many pages of the form  a simple unviewed cremation, the  Total is now  $1535.00.
I am asking you to help me pay for this final act of caring for my wife Lorna Kyllonen.
