Anything helps, God Bless ❤️

Been a tough week, trying to stay strong in the midst of hard times. I can let my mind be troubled with the questions of which I cannot answer, or I can realize that I am only a man. Life is beautiful and truly unexplainable. It’s up, it’s down, and everything in between. Life is fragile; we ought to live in it as so.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬

Lorna Jean Marie Hudson (Minnie)- A Mother to Many

Born May 6th 1954. Lorna was born and raised in North Chicago, Illinois. Lorna Jean Marie Hudson was truly a mother to many. She was a Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother. After raising three of her own, she dedicated her life to raising and playing a part in as many lives as she could.

She adopted me and my brother in 2004 after fostering us for several years. She said the Lord told her we were her babies from the beginning (NUNU & DJ). She picked me straight from the hospital at 3 day old and got my brother only a couple months into his life. The picture below was adoption day, I remember this day so vividly.

She was a foster parent for 30+ years. She ran a home daycare (Minnie’s Home Day Care) for 15+. She always had an open door policy even while raising her 3. She had a big heart, sure to never to leave anyone out. She raised so many kids and played a part in many. She is a legend in my eyes.

She taught me so much just by the way she lived. Just to name a few, how to be selfless, kind, humble, trustworthy, and most importantly how to have FAITH. She taught me how to trust God through all situations. Situations never seemed too bad. She taught us how to smile and have joy and be content with all that we had. Good or Bad life has a funny way of teaching you so much through all the ups and downs. Your attitude truly makes all the difference, if you are going to learn from them. That gave us a deeper appreciation for life and what we had. She made smiling and laughter a necessity of daily life. Through all the aches and pains she never threw in the towel and let her situations define her days. I can say she was truly happy and had peace all the way through the end of her life. She told me more than once. “Nunu, it’s about finding that inner peace”.

Those that know me close, know how much she means to me. It will hard without her but I have strength that doesn’t come from me. I have hope that we will meet again and spend eternity together, so it’s not goodbye…. just see you later. - Your baby Nunu ❤️

God Bless all of you for your encouragement, kind words, and help. - Me’Quon J Hudson

Giving my life to Christ is the best decision I have ever made. It has given me a strength that I cannot express & a peace that surpasses all understanding. I don’t write this for sympathy, but to tell you that God is real; I urge you to put your trust in him in this ever so troubling world. His word is true and strong enough to be stood on. Trials and tribulations are inevitable in this lifetime, but you are not alone… never alone. You don’t have to bear the burden yourself.

“Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭55‬:‭22‬
