Hi! My name is Lori I’m reaching out during a very personal and challenging season of my life. In May of 2025, I was diagnosed with papillary carcinoma aka thyroid cancer, after an ultrasound revealed three nodules on my thyroid that showed concerning signs. A biopsy later confirmed the diagnosis, and from there, things moved quickly as I began navigating appointments, tests, and difficult decisions.

I’ve done my best to stay positive throughout this process, even as lab work, scans, and medical visits became part of everyday life. Just before Christmas, I underwent a thyroidectomy. While the holidays are usually a time of celebration, this year they looked very different as I focused on surgery, healing, and recovery.

I’m grateful to be moving forward and focusing on healing, but the financial impact has been significant. Between the ultrasound, biopsy, lab work, CT scans, surgery, and follow-up care, the medical expenses have added up quickly.
