Lori's Journey: Honoring Grandma's Legacy

Hi, my name is Lori. I live in Michigan. My work hours have decreased over the past three months.

My grandmother was very ill and was hospitalized after I found a major medical issue with her and knew she needed immediate medical attention.

She stayed in the hospital for a month, then she was transferred to rehabilitation, and eventually to hospice (end-of-life care). BTW, my grandmother passed away on 4/25/25.

During this time, I had to move all of her things out of her apartment within days and relocate them.

Therefore, it caused me to miss work a lot, leading to a drastic reduction in income.

The purpose of the funds is to be used towards my grandmother's home.

Many things need to be done to improve her house. Projects such as diagnosing plumbing issues, fixing plumbing problems, and having a home survey done. Plus, paying off several things if I get enough donations.

I truly appreciate all that can help me.

This is my first time using such a platform, but I feel like I have nowhere else to turn. Trust me when I say this is quite hard asking for money from strangers who may or may not care.
