My name is Lori Waterman. I have a very important appointment in San Fransico and a very important story for all of you. I live at the orchards assisted living in Medford Oregon. I have lived here almost 3 1\2 years and after a months worth of bills come out I am left with about 50 dollars spending money on other necessary things. I have a puppy I am taking care of and he is in training to be my support dog. I am a double leg amputee. I was a single amputee from 2021 until 2024 and I lost my other leg. I have been fighting like hell to walk again. I need to not only be physically strong to walk but mentally as well. with lots of tears I did what I had to do. Not soon after losing my ability to walk along with my independence. I soon lost my choice in when and were I urinate. I felt helpless and hopeless not knowing how my life would play out. learning how to adapt to my new life was a challenge in itself. Let alone the new problems it began to surface. I have been struggling with an aggressive UTI for a few years now. the pain never fully disappeared even with all of the medications and hospital stays. It had been taking a toll on my mental health until I was able to get into contact with a new opportunity. I was referred to OHSU and it was unsuccessful. They told me there was nothing they could do. My Gynourology doctor referred me to San Fransico Urology in November of 2025. I finally got a response about a month ago with some great news. They told me there was something for them to do to help my pain. I was beyond happy until realizing the stress of funding for my travel. I spoke with the state insurance and they declined my request due to the location being too far. therefore i am turing to a beautiful community asking for a little help. I was able to push my appointment back in order to buy more time and reach my goal. this woukd be life changing and I look foward to a postive outcome. A little always goes a long way. thank you for taking the time to read and hear my story. I hope this influences everyone for the best. Thank You Lori Waterman
