Lori's Fight
Donation protected
Over ten years ago, I worked at a cancer rehab facility. I was amazed at how positive, fun loving and grateful people were, even in the midst of fighting their hardest battle…fighting for their life! Ever since then, I have wanted to grow my hair long so I could donate it to help someone feel more themselves throughout the entire process. This year, I decided it was time to donate my hair. Little did I know, I would be donating it in support of my mom, as she has been recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
I feel honored to be able to support my amazingly brave and beautiful mom. I cut off and donated 11 inches of my hair. Check out my before and after pictures.
"You never know how strong you are, until being strong is your only choice." Our family loves her to pieces and we will do whatever we can to help support her (and her husband, Jeff) by giving her strength, positivity, love and hope. She's the best!! Seriously!
Our mom, Lori, will be receiving chemotherapy. Chemotherapy has many side effects and hair loss is one of them. She will be using a machine, called a DigniCap, to help prevent hair loss. It’s basically a very, very cold ice pack for your head. Keeping her hair will help her feel more like herself.
We are thankful for the opportunity to use this machine. However, the Dignicap machine is an out of pocket expense and is not covered by insurance. Which leads us to our fundraiser for
“Lori’s fight”
We are raising money to cover the cost of the DigniCap machine, travel expenses to and from her home in the mountains to Denver, where she receives her treatments, and to help cover all the other medical bills that have started to come in.
Please join us in helping our mom with her fight against breast cancer!
We invite words of inspiration, support and prayers!! We have been blessed with an extremely strong and positive family and close friends! We are so grateful...we couldn't do all of this without you.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any support you can offer!
