Lori's Ongoing fight against Stage 4 Metastatic Cancer
Donation protected
First and foremost my family is beyond grateful for each and every person that donated, sent cards, medals, flowers, prayed and visited my mom.
Mom’s career and salon brought her so much happiness.
She hasn’t been able to work since August, due to the insurmountable pain.
She’s unable to drive, cook, clean, run errands or even the simplest of everyday personal tasks.
We are so happy when she has a good day and can get out of the house for an hour.
As her daughters, we take great pride in caring for her, as well as working hard to keep up with the monthly expenses.
We have been trying to find mom the proper treatment for the metastatic stage 4 cancer than has spread to her bones.
Affecting her spine, ribs, shoulder, pelvis, and femur.
Two of her vertebrae are currently fractured due to the tumor compression.
Each of her doctors has given us the devastating prognosis that there’s nothing left for them to do.
We refuse to give up on our mom and want to find her the best care.
After consultations with oncologist after oncologist there is nothing available in the United States that can eradicate mom’s tumors and rid her body of radical cancer cells, due to insurance restrictions and our country not allowing specific treatments that kill bone cancer.
The treatments Saint Barnabas & Morristown Memorial Hospitals provided our mom, have failed.
There has been so much wasted time trying to find the best treatment for her.
At this point, they’ll only give her pain medications, which barely takes the edge off.
Two doctors have referred her to a cancer hospital out of this country.
One doctor told us the hour glass has turned and pretty soon nothing will work and her life is on the line.
The cost for this procedure and intense treatment is $52,000.
We couldn’t have had mom’s first round of successful treatments without all the generous donations, thoughts and prayers
Never did we think we’d end up here with mom having bone metastasis asking for your help again.
We want our mom to live a long, painfree and happy life and we are terrfied that it is coming to an end sooner than we all would imagine.
Thank you all for your prayers and generosity for our wonderful mom.
