Hi, my name is Amy Somers and I’m here to raise money for my sister Lori Hubbard. She was recently diagnosed as having multiple (5) 2 to 3 mm brain lesions that are concerning for metastatic disease. The next step is a brain biopsy, which is not only scary but costly. She has already had a myriad of tests in an effort to locate the source of the cancer from which the cells metastasized, including a mammogram, colonoscopy, skin tests, blood tests, CT scan, PET scan, multiple MRI’s, and more. She has been unable to work consistently because of the time lost due to the many tests and procedures, as well as issues with rescheduling and general jumping through hoops thanks to insurance company policies and restrictions.

In addition to all of the work she’s lost by time spent in medical facilities, she’s also lost work due to the pain caused by the lesions.

The lesions are spread throughout her left and right frontal and parietal lobes, affecting her physically in many ways, including severe head pain, blurred vision, dizziness, fatigue, and much more, all causing her to be unable to work consistently. My goal is to raise enough money to cover her lost income, her medical bills (her deductible is unreasonably high!) and alleviate the additional financial, physical, and emotional stress of having immense medical expenses on top of such a daunting diagnosis.
