Hi Friends and Family of Lori (Rader) Estes!
After much encouragement, Lori has decided that it is time to share what she has been going through for the past 6 months. This is not easy for her to share.
Lori has Stage 3 Cancer. The doctors have not been able to determine the primary source of the cancer, however it has been determined to be a Carcinoma.
Lori first noticed a swollen lymph node and went to the doctor for a quick check up. That check up led into many tests, scans and ultimately surgery to remove the lymph node. After a positive cancer diagnosis of a secondary source, doctors began looking for the primary source, which is a frightening and unsettling. At this point, they still have not located the primary source. As a result, Lori will be having an additional exploratory surgery to try to find the primary location of the cancer, as well as having a chemo port implanted. This surgery still may not yield the answer.
Lori has been doing all of this without insurance, and as we all well know, she cannot get insurance until January 1. She is not one to ask for help, so I am asking for her. She is still working, as is her husband. Any and all donations are DEEPLY appreciated.
Lori is staying super positive, taking one day at a time. Please keep Lori in your thoughts and prayers, she would appreciate anything you have to give, whether it is monetary or spiritual.
If you are in Colorado, please join Lori at Phantom for a fun night of fundraising. She will have a page with more details coming soon.
