We are deeply saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Dolores “Lori” Mehan on Sunday, January 22nd, 2017.
We believe she died from complications following an emergency tooth extraction and subsequent infection. She had been experiencing pain for several weeks and oral surgery was intended to alleviate the problem.
Her family is in the process of planning a celebration of life for Lori. They want to celebrate with everyone in true Lori fashion, including colorful and funky clothing, her favorite music, great photos and stories.
Lori touched so many lives through decades of her artwork, created and shared with many. Her love for music, amongst many other passions defined her character. We know her amazing art creations will serve as a legacy to her and will live on as a reminder of her beautiful spirit and her time on this earth.
We are asking friends of this wonderful family to please provide any support they can to help with the Mehan's expenses.
The funds raised will be fully provided to Lori’s daughter Melissa for the cremation, memorial, obituary, family travel, and other related expenses. Any donations left over after expenses have been paid will be given to a non-profit charity that supports arts programs for children and the future artistic endevors of her grand daughter Maya.
