Dear All,
As many of you know, my sister Lori has been diagnosed with a very aggressive breast cancer. She is due to have surgery mid-March, followed by Chemotherapy and Herceptin for some time to come. As you know Lori is upbeat, always willing to lend a hand and hard to keep down. She has made a sole living working with her hands. She is over the top strong and has enjoyed building and performing other home maintenance since she left retail management several years ago. This detour has been a blow to all she has been working for. While it will be hard to keep her down, this challenge is going to restrict her ability to work for some time and she will be unable to earn any income and will have no means to support herself. In addition, we will need to stay on Cape Cod close to her doctors which will require additional living expenses for the time she is there. None of this will be easy but with her strong will and determination she will beat this. She is not one to ask for help, nor am I, though I need to ask this of all of you now. Can you please join Lori's fight? - A dollar will do, or even a prayer. Thank you for the continued love and support you’ve provided my sister, me and our family. You are forever in our hearts.
With love and gratitude,
Valerie
