Help Us Lay an Angel to Rest – In Memory of Lorie Cooper

On July 23 , we lost one of the most beautiful souls this world has ever known—our mom, our protector, our heart.

But she wasn’t just our mom. She was everyone’s mom. The kind of person who welcomed you in with open arms, no matter who you were or where you came from. She made people feel safe, and truly loved—like they belonged.

She gave everything she had to the people around her. Her time, her energy, her heart. She didn’t ask for anything in return—just that you were okay. That was enough for her.

She raised us with strength, kindness, and unconditional love. She carried people through their darkest times and never turned her back on anyone. So many people saw her as a second mom, a best friend, a safe place. And that’s exactly who she was.

Now, we want to give her the goodbye she deserves. We’re asking for help to cover the costs of her funeral and final arrangements. Anything helps, and even just sharing this means more than we can say.

Thank you—for loving her, for being a part of her life, and for helping us carry her memory forward. Your kindness, support, and prayers are helping hold us up right now, and we are truly grateful from the bottom of our hearts.

She gave everything to everyone else. Now it’s our turn to give her the love she always gave so freely.

Rest easy, Mom. We’ll love you forever.

Her final wishes were to be cremated. And we plan on having a celebration of life. All proceeds will go towards the cost of the cremation and urns. And any other costs.

If anything is left I will be donating it to the Canadian Cancer Foundation.
