Hi! As some of you know, Lorie and Pat were on vacation on their motorcycle exploring different states this past week. They were in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia on October 15, 2022 when a deer ran directly into them causing them to crash their motorcycle. They both suffered injuries and are pretty banged up. Pat suffered a dislocated shoulder, broken arm along with road rash. Lorie suffered a brain bleed which got worse in the first 24 hours, she has a broken hand along with road rash. Lorie is in ICU and has been since they arrived at the hospital Saturday afternoon. Given the severity of injuries, they are looking at over a week long hospital stay. We are asking for donations to help Pat with hotel rooms because he will be discharged way before Lorie, food for them, necessities while their there, all of the medical bills and unexpected stuff on the way to their recovery. The ambulance transport home will be costly (they are 12 hours, 755 miles from home) as it’s not covered under their insurance.
