Staying Cool & Mobile with MS

Hello family & friends,

I hate to ask but I need help raising funds for a few items that will assist me a great deal.

First to assist with my mobility there is a lightweight foldable & portable electric wheelchair. I am unable to walk any real distance (more than just going to the store) the chair would be a great help.

Second is a ductless mini-split A/C unit for my bedroom. You see, I cannot tolerate heat as it makes it nearly impossible to move my left side of my body, this includes my ability to walk, and my right hand will not grasp anything and affecting my vision (very blurred and dizzy).

Unfortunately these items are not covered under my insurance and the National Multiple Sclerosis organization stated that I needed to try other ways to raise the money before they would assist, if at all.

I realize that many of you are in a similar situation and are unable to help with a donation, but if you could post a link to this on your Facebook page and pass the word along it would be just as great! 

Multiple Sclerosis is a disease that unfortunately has no cure.  My immune system is attacking my nervous system, destroying the myelin sheath surrounding the nerves in the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves which usually enable electrical signals to be sent effectively. This means these signals are potentially not getting through at all, resulting in effects such as muscle weakness (in my legs, hands & arms), numbness in some parts of my body, problems with my eyesight, speech, thought process, fatigue and short-term memory loss.
