Lori's fight against Leukemia

Lori started life as a premature baby so her struggle started early but she has always been a fighter.  Recently she was offered a wonderful opportunity to buy her own small restaurant in Agawam, MA called Green Leaves to Go.  She emptied her life savings and with the help of her family, her daughter Taylor, special friends and much encouragement opened recently in a brand new location. 

Unfortunately after only 30 days in the new location, Lori was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) and is once again fighting for her life.  She has been hospitalized in the oncology ward since the end of February receiving blood transfusions and chemo therapy.   We are hoping for a transfer to Dana Farber to await a bone marrow transplant which she will need to get healthy again. 

Lori will not be able to work for 1-2 years during her ongoing treatment so funds are needed for her medical co-pays, transportation and family housing needs while she is away from home in Boston.  Many family members, friends and customers have already stepped up to help keep the restaurant open and do their best to keep Lori's spirits up while she battles ALL.
