Patrick died -- now Lori has a broken heart and bills
Donation protected
Tragically, Patrick Hemauer died on Feb. 17, 2025. He was 57. Lori Hemauer, his devoted wife of 15 years, is devastated.
She is grateful that Patrick is no longer suffering from a horrible disease. But she was hoping against hope that he would recover and that their love story could continue.
Now that it has ended, Lori, 47, is left with a broken heart, bills, and now funeral expenses. Won't you please help her out in her hour of need?
Lori already works two jobs, one making sandwiches and baking for 10 hours a day at the Caris Life Sciences cafeteria, and the other as a cashier at Fry's. Both are in Phoenix.
Up until June 2024, Patrick worked as a maintenance worker at Goodwill.
Without his paycheck, Lori is struggling to make ends meet. She struggles with daily expenses and monthly payments. And now she won't have the assistance of his Medicaid checks.
Patrick died of pemphigus, an incurable autoimmune disorder. Patrick's immune system mistakenly attacked healthy cells in his body, especially in the skin and mucous membranes.
"The disease is taking away his vision, making him so weak he cannot walk, and causing him to need a feeding tube," Lori said recently before he died.
Patrick was born with cerebral palsy but had still been able to live a nearly normal life. Lori also has health issues and suffers from seizures.
Lori is left with a broken heart and an empty home. She will miss Patrick terribly, and now is picking up the financial pieces. Hopefully, you can help by making a donation.
She is extremely grateful for this.
