Lori was hit by a car recently while crossing a busy road in Missoula. She suffered major injuries and we are all grateful that she is alive. The latest information that we have is that Lori will recover, but has multiple broken bones, spinal trauma, and surgeries in front of her.

Lori is known as an active and kind person. Her warm smile and friendly demeanor have won her many friends over the years. She was a wildland firefighter and Smokejumper for many years before going back to school to become a teacher. She has taught at Seeley-Swan High School and now Sentinel High School and has become a beloved and integral part of each community.

Lori and Scott have two children, Freya, a freshman in college, and Virgil, a sophomore in high school.

Lori and Scott face a hard road ahead, and we know that there will be many out-of-pocket expenses coming their way. Lori is receiving top-notch medical care, but with the loss of income and major changes to their life forthcoming, the best support we can offer is a financial safety net. Please consider donating to Lori and Scott during this difficult time.
