No one is prepared for that world-shaking diagnosis of cancer. My mom, Lori Mead, was recently diagnosed with throat cancer. The tumor is too large to operate on so her team at MD Anderson is fighting with radiation and chemo. Never having been a smoker or ever been around it, it's a truly shocking diagnosis. She has changed her whole world to fight to stay with us. Just a couple of the harder changes was her diet, and putting a large part of her oil and vinegar business on hold to travel down to Houston for her treatments. Everyone knows that cancer is expensive but it's wipe out entire life savings, sell the house, and pray for a miracle expensive. My mom is truly one of the best people that I know. She is selfless, loves the Lord and her family deeply and without end. She's the best Nana. One that bakes cowboy cookies that can't be recreated. She can sew curtains and repair that hole in your jeans. She gives the best hugs and her laugh will stay with you for days. She's so full of life, always up for a concert or just a cup of coffee on the back porch. She's the drop everything and come save you from piles of laundry kind of person. She works hard and loves hard with her husband, Mark (who has been the best and most supportive hubby she could have asked for!!), and her 3 weenie dogs.
Her treatment is an overwhelming amount of money. I wish I had it to give to her but I don't. What I can do is ask for help. Times are hard and the world is expensive so whatever you can spare, please do. The saying "Life is expensive" has taken on a whole new meaning.
If you would rather give by purchasing from her business here is a link and she does ship. Her black garlic bourbon Worcestershire sauce is my fave but it's all amazing. Texasoilandvinegar.net
Thank you for anything you can give.
