Yep. I’m having heart surgery. Yay me!
In less than a week. Heart parts are ordered & ready to be installed. 7/25/19.
Turns out I have a calcified aortic valve & it just isn’t working for me anymore. I am scheduled to have TAVR surgery next week. Haven’t been able to breathe very well the past year or so & the malfunctioning valve is the reason for it. Left as is, the stress would trigger a heart attack/ failure quite soon. (I had radiation treatment to the chest area when I was 23 & this is the delayed effect of it).
So- got the surgery scheduled- thought I had it all covered & I was ready to get repaired & rejuvenated... But a few days ago I was informed that my insurance only covers all the tests before & after the surgery. *Not the surgery itself or the hospital stay*. So basically the insurance covers all of the less expensive things.
Which leaves me with a big unpaid medical bill. It’s a sad thing. Guess I should have had better insurance. But here we are.
If anyone can help to contribute toward this monumental survival expense, you will have my undying love & gratitude. Seriously.
And think of the karma, for goodness sakes. Also, I’m pretty sure it’s a fabulous tax write off. Not to mention the soul deep satisfaction of helping to save my heart. Literally. My heart needs you.
