Lori (Gianvito) Coffey's Breast Cancer Battle

My beautiful friend, Lori (Gianvito) Coffey, has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. This type of breast cancer is one of the most challenging breast cancers to treat. Lori has already undergone extensive and invasive testing and is beginning this tough battle ahead of her this week. This is the fight of her life and right now Lori and her family need all the emotional and financial support they can get. Lori’s journey will involve multiple invasive surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation therapy and immunotherapy. Her insurance will not cover a fraction of what it will cost for her to undergo these treatments.

 

Lori is a mother, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a girlfriend, a loyal friend, a talented brow artist, among many other things. She has two wonderful children, Brynn and Nolan. Lori is the sister of Todd (Nicole) and Brian (Donna), aunt to Ty, Ryan, Austin and Addison, and the daughter of Joan and John Gianvito. Unfortunately, Lori lost her mom in January of this year after a long hard battle with Alzheimer’s. Lori has been so supportive of her dad during those difficult times. Lori’s boyfriend Drew has been by her side for every test, procedure, phone call and diagnosis. Drew has been a blessing, encouraging and supporting Lori every step of the way.

 

Lori has many friends, her high school friends, her gym friends, her work friends. You all know how strong she is but, she needs our support now. We all love Lori, she’s always up for an adventure, always has a smile, and always makes you laugh so hard you end up in tears! She is compassionate and caring and always there for a friend. We all have so many great memories with Lori and we have plenty more to make.

 

It is important to note that Lori always got regular yearly mammograms. Even more of a reason to keep up with your yearly mammograms.
