Lori Dale

Our very dear friend Lori Dale needs our help.

 

Since Lori fell out of a 2nd floor window in Italy 20 years ago she has been continually in and out of hospital. Often for long stretches at a time.

She kept herself afloat working as a Nanny on the Mornington Peninsula, however over the last 2 years she has been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (terminal), breast cancer having already required a mastectomy and lymph node removal, a hip replacement, open heart surgery with valve replacement, a bypass and in April this year she was diagnosed with both hepatitis and pancreatitis.

 

She is very ill and cannot work due to her health issues. The only income she now has is the pension, so she can no longer afford the rent and needs regular appointments with 4 medical specialists resulting in big bills with little back from Medicare. This is causing her a lot of distress which is not helping her recovery.

 

She has no local family support and doesn’t know how long she has left, however she continues to fight hard and I’m going to do my best to help her. I hope with the assistance of many others who have known and loved or worked with Lori over the years.

What she needs now is urgent funds to enable her to move house and pay removalists, a bond, clear out her household goods and clean the old property. She has run out of options.

 

I’m setting a goal of raising $50,000 to assist her to find a new home, pay her rent for 12 months and help her pay the important on-going specialist bills.
