I'm Daniel Cuneo, and I am blessed to be the son of the most loving and courageous mother anyone could ask for, Lori Cuneo.
She and my dad, Pete Cuneo, have always worked hard to take care of us, and now that I need to return the favor, I find that it is beyond my reach.
A little back story, unbeknownst to everyone, my mom had an aneurysm, and yesterday it ruptured while she was out running errands with my grandmother Barbara. After an ambulance ride to Enloe, and a helicopter ride to UC Davis, she's still in ICU, and last we've heard the intracranial bleeding hasn't stopped.
My dad is seeing the cost rise up in front of us, and it's crushing him, more than it should. My mom is a fighter, and we are talking about the recovery process even before she's fully stable. I think for him it seems less certain that we'll be able to afford the coming costs, than that she'll recover.
We'll post what updates we can.
