Lori and Amanda Osteen Fire Recovery
Donation protected
On February 12th, 2021, the Osteen family home was lost to a fire. The exact cause of the fire is unknown but the home is a total loss.
That evening Lori returned home from work and saw smoke billowing out of the mudroom. She scrambled to try and get the door open but the door was locked and she knew Amanda was still inside. At the same time that Lori was trying to get the door unlocked while calling for Amanda, Amanda noticed that there was smoke coming from outside her bedroom. She opened the door and saw that the kitchen was on fire. Amanda started scrambling to try and find their family pets so she could get them out to safety. The smoke in the home became unbearable and Amanda couldn’t breathe or see. Outside, Lori got the door open but was hit in the face with thick smoke and couldn’t enter the home to find Amanda or the animals due to the blaze. Amanda having no way out, ended up breaking her bedroom window and crawling out to safety. Luckily both of them are safe but none of their cats, dog, bunny, or birds made it out and are feared lost to the fire.
At this time we are looking for anything to help them get back on their feet. They don’t have anything but the clothes on their backs, and their outdoor farm animals to rehome. Lori’s car was lost in the fire as well as all of their clothes, food, medications, and family memories and so much more.
If you are able to help in anyway please donate.
Thank you
