Loretto London Worship

Hey there! We’re Jo and Tara, from the Loretto London Worship Team.

 

Loretto London are a Catholic charity focussed on mission and evangelisation in our vibrant city - by investing in grassroots community, formation, leadership, fellowship and radical hospitality.

When we started the Loretto Worship Nights, we were borrowing equipment from a local church who very generously let us use their system. Understandably, after borrowing their equipment for the past year, they needed it back. 


Worship is central to everything we do at Loretto, team meetings, retreats, worship night’s and community/parish support, all involve worship. We are turning to providence, and the generosity of others like you, to keep our mission sustainable by buying our own worship equipment. For this to happen, we need your help. 

So far we have managed to raise just over £1000, which is an amazing ⅓ of our £3000 target. This has only been possible through sheer generosity, prayer and support. 


GIVING TUESDAY

Today, on the 30th November, we are celebrating Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving to celebrate generosity worldwide. Giving Tuesday is a day where everyone, everywhere is encouraged to do something to support a good cause that is particularly meaningful to them.


In the last year we have seen hundreds of people encountering God’s love through our “Loretto Worship Nights”, many of them also growing in faith and leadership through our HOME Academy and Prayer Course “Heart speaks to Heart”.


Will you help us to reach even more people, sharing the love of Jesus through our mission? Your giving can transform lives by partnering with Loretto UK this Giving Tuesday, you’ll help to support our ministries, bringing new possibilities and engaging a wider audience.

Get involved this Giving Tuesday


We need to raise another £2000 to cover the cost of music equipment, and we’re hoping to raise as much of this as we can before Christmas. 


This year, we have plans to continue to grow the Loretto Worship Nights happening at St Mary’s University in Twickenham, develop and form a larger team of committed musicians who desire to lead others to deeper connection with God through worship, keep supporting Alpha courses and The Ascent by leading worship and prepare for an incredible “Pentecost Festival” in 2022. We have been praying about where God is leading us, along with the other members of the wider Loretto team, and are so excited for the task ahead.

In order to achieve these things, we need more than a guitar each! We have put together a wishlist of tech/gear that will only enhance our ability and opportunity to lead worship and draw people to Jesus.

Our hope is to create spaces where people feel genuinely welcomed and able to grow in intimacy with God and each other. We want to raise and equip a generation of young leaders who will impact the Church and society.
