Hi, Im Lorene and Im really surprised to be asking for assistance. Im usually the one that attends charties and helps others and would never even think to ask for assistance even from my own family.
I was diagnosed with stage 4 malignant melanoma on my upper arm last September. I had noticed a mole 3 yrs ago that kept growing larger but I ignorged it because I didnt have any insurance. A friend finally convinced me to have it checked and the day I went in to the dr. they wanted to remove the growth with a painful excision. I was called at worked the follwing week with the diagnosis that it was positive for cancer. I was scheduled for additonal surgery 2 weeks later with skin grafts and radiation. All I could think of was how was I going to pay all of this?  The only family I have is my father who is retired and my 2 children. I didnt even tell my father my diagnosis because of his age and  didnt want him to worry. I know my father would sell everything he owns to help me but I would never expect that. I work full time and am doing the best I can. Im asking for any amount to help cover the medical expenses related to this cancer surgery. I would be grateful for any amount sent.
