My name is Pam ( Ernst) Beaver (SB  ICC 1984-1986). I was made aware  a former basketball player(ICC  2000-2001), Melissa,  had started collecting stories to make a documentary about Coach Lorene Ramsey.  Coach Ramsey guided numerous women in both basketball and softball for decades at ICC.  She helped pave the way for women in sports.  Melissa wants to show how much Miss Ramsey has influenced the course of numerous lives. 

Melissa started out with a production company, that  in the end, would not have the capacity to handle the volume of player interviews she had started to collect.  She realized that to make a high end production she would need to switch companies, the price rose significantly.

When I learned of this, I decided to create this page to help her. She is hesitant to let me help, but I know Coach Ramsey helped give many women( including me) a great start to their future. If you played women's sports, have a daughter that played a sport or know of a girl that is playing a sport now, you can thank women like Lorene.  They were not afraid to make known that the self esteem of girls is equally important to the self esteem of boys. Sports are a great way of creating high self esteem! They are a great way to learn work ethic and make friends. 

Melissa is working hard to collect stories to create a one-of-a-kind documentary that will last the ages. It will be sixty minutes of powerful life stories from women all over the country. This is not a small endeavor!

When this documentary is done, Melissa has a vision for a public  viewing with Coach Ramsey in the Lorene Ramsey Gymnasium.

Teamwork can make this professional documentary come to life. ICC, YES!YES!YES!
