Our dear friend Leiah’s daughter, Lorelai, recently ran into some unexpected medical issues. After sleeping for almost 2 days straight, Leiah made the tough decision to drive Lorelai 2 hours south to Charleston to bring her to MUSC. The doctors finally found that her hemoglobin levels are abnormally low. Unfortunately, they still do not have an answer as to why this is happening. Since they are unable to come to an official diagnosis, they want Lorelai to go back to MUSC on a regular basis for them to run more tests to try to find the reason, and to monitor her health.

We are starting this fundraiser to help Leiah and her family with the cost of traveling down to Charleston as often as needed, as well as help offset the stress and burden of missing work days and other costs that may arise.
