Loreen Needs Our Help

Hi, our family is fundraising for my mother Loreen who was recently in a horrible car accident.

A couple of weeks ago, our mother took a bus from Calgary to Enderby, BC to visit her very ill brother who's in the hospital there. Last week, while traveling back from a visit with him, Loreen and her brother's wife, Noreen were in a head-on collision, claiming Noreen's life at the scene, and leaving our mom Loreen in critical condition.

Loreen had to undergo emergency surgery having broken six ribs, hip, femur, sternum, and suffered a brain bleed. These types of injuries would be devastating for a person half her age, but being an 80-year-old woman this will be a very long, difficult road to recovery.

Loreen is a mother of six and has eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was always a very hard worker throughout her life to provide for her large family, oftentimes working three minimum wage jobs at once to get by. Her husband Bill, who has since passed on, was a hard-working hired hand who unfortunately had no retirement fund to fall back on. Loreen is now living on limited government assistance.

Loreen will need to be transported back to Calgary and will require physical therapy and home care

Any help we can get to reduce some of the stress of paying for the medical expenses and everyday living costs that will incur throughout this healing process will be so greatly appreciated.
